The Author

Georg E. Karl has served as the senior pastor of the First Church of God in Vincennes, Indiana since 1989. He and his wife, Jeanne, have been happily married since 1985 and are parents of two young-adult children. Born and raised in Saint Joseph, Michigan, he is a graduate of Western Michigan University and earned a master of divinity degree from Anderson School of Theology in 1985. He is presently a doctoral student at the same seminary. His favorite hobby is slalom waterskiing and only wishes there were more time for it. He served as an associate minister at the West Court Street Church of God in Flint, Michigan and as youth pastor in St. Joseph, Michigan. Georg gave his life to Christ at age twelve and answered the call to professional ministry at age twenty-two. During his college years at Western Michigan University, he became involved with Campus Crusade for Christ and was mentored by one of the ministry’s staff members, Rick Huls.
